Puck-Luck
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 16 June 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Puck-Luck ("the game", "we", "us"). By playing the game, creating a league, or uploading any content, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the game.
0. Operator
Puck-Luck is operated by the Puck-Luck publishing team ("the operator"), contactable at puckluckflick@gmail.com. References to "we", "us", and "our" in these Terms mean the operator. Information about how the operator collects and processes player data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1. Players & Accounts
- Anonymous players — You may play without creating an account. We generate an anonymous ID in your browser. This ID is stored locally and on our servers to record your scores and streaks.
- Registered players — You may sign in with Apple or Google to sync your progress across devices. When you sign in, your existing anonymous history is linked to your authenticated account where possible.
- You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, you must have parental or guardian consent.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials associated with your Apple or Google account.
2. Gameplay & Scoring
- Puck-Luck is a daily one-shot game. Each calendar day you get one standard shot and, if available, one mulligan.
- Scores are based on the final puck position as determined by our physics simulation. The leaderboard rankings reflect the exact calculation logic described in-game.
- We reserve the right to adjust scores or void results in the event of a confirmed bug, exploit, or manipulation.
3. User-Generated Content (UGC)
You may submit the following types of content:
- Nicknames — displayed publicly on leaderboards, league tables, and Hall of Champions screens.
- Avatars — either a procedurally generated neon avatar or a photo you upload. Uploaded avatars are stored on our backend and shown publicly.
- League names & join codes — when you create a private league, the name and optional join code are stored on our servers and visible to invited members.
By submitting UGC you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display that content solely for the purpose of operating the game. You retain ownership of your content.
4. Content Standards
You may not submit content that:
- Is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory.
- Is sexually explicit, pornographic, or depicts violence in a gratuitous manner.
- Infringes any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Impersonates another person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Contains malware, spam, or any material intended to disrupt or damage the game or other players' devices.
We apply a profanity filter to nicknames and league names. Submission attempts that match the filter will be blocked.
5. Reporting & Blocking
- Reporting — If you encounter an offensive nickname, avatar, league name, or other inappropriate content, you may report it using the in-game report button next to the offending item, or by emailing puckluckflick@gmail.com with the player name, league name, and a brief description.
- Blocking — You may block another player from appearing in your leaderboard and league views. Blocked players are hidden from your perspective only; they are not removed from the game.
- Moderation response target — We aim to review all reports within 24 hours. Content that violates these Terms may be removed, and the associated player account may be suspended or permanently banned.
6. Leagues
- Leagues are private leaderboards created by players. The creator chooses a league name and may set an optional join code.
- League membership is stored on our servers. A player's monthly scores are visible to all members of the leagues they join.
- A creator may delete their league at any time. Deletion removes the league and all membership records; individual player scores remain on the global and national leaderboards.
- We do not moderate league chat because the game does not provide a chat feature. All league interaction is limited to viewing aggregated scores.
7. Hall of Champions
- The Hall of Champions displays the winning player(s) for each completed month, including their nickname and avatar at the time of victory.
- Hall of Champions records are historical and remain visible even if the winning player later deletes their account. In that event the record is shown as "Deleted Player".
- We reserve the right to disqualify a win and remove the associated record if the winner is found to have cheated or violated these Terms.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, hack, modify client code, use automated scripts, or exploit bugs to gain an advantage.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the game or its server functions.
- Interfere with other players' enjoyment of the game, including through spam, trolling, or abusive content.
- Access or attempt to access data or accounts belonging to other players.
- Use the game for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
9. Suspension & Removal
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any player account, nickname, avatar, league, or score entry if we reasonably believe that:
- the player has violated these Terms;
- the player has cheated or manipulated the game;
- the content is offensive, illegal, or harmful; or
- the action is necessary to protect the integrity or security of the game.
Suspensions may be temporary or permanent. We are not required to provide advance notice, but where practical we will inform you of the reason via the email associated with your account, or via an in-game notice for anonymous players.
10. Account Deletion
- Registered users may delete their account and all associated data (profile, scores, league memberships, push subscriptions, bug reports, and uploaded avatars) from the Account screen.
- Anonymous players may delete their local device data from the Account screen or by clearing browser storage. To remove scores from the public leaderboard, email puckluckflick@gmail.com.
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Leagues you created remain open for other players. Hall of Champions records are anonymised but retained as historical data.
Full deletion instructions are available on our Account Deletion page.
11. Intellectual Property
The game, its code, artwork, music, sound effects, names, logos, and all related assets are our property or licensed to us. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
The game is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at puck-luck.com/terms. Continued use of the game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
