Puck-Luck

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 June 2026

Puck-Luck is a daily one-shot game operated by the Puck-Luck publishing team ("we", "us"), contactable at puckluckflick@gmail.com. We aim to collect as little as possible — just enough to run a global and national leaderboard. This Policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.

What we store

  • Anonymous player ID — a random ID generated in your browser the first time you play. It is not linked to your name, email, or device identifiers.
  • Nickname — only what you choose to type. Leave it blank to appear as anon.
  • Country selection — only what you pick from the drop-down, used to rank you on the National board.
  • Daily score data — your miss distance, whether you used a mulligan, your dice roll, and your monthly totals.
  • Avatar — either a randomly generated neon avatar (just a small style + seed string), or a photo you choose to upload. Uploaded avatars are stored on our backend and shown publicly next to your nickname on leaderboards, playoffs, and champion screens. You can change or remove your avatar at any time from the profile screen. We do not run facial recognition, derive any biometric data, or use uploaded images for AI training. Obviously inappropriate uploads may be removed.
  • Push subscription & timezone — only if you turn on Daily Reminders. We store your browser's push subscription data and timezone solely to send one daily reminder when you haven't taken your shot. You can turn it off any time from the player profile.
  • Sign-in identifier (optional) — if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google to sync your progress, we store the authentication identifier returned by that provider and, if you allow it, your email address. We do not store passwords. You can delete this at any time from the Account screen.
  • Reports you submit — if you report another player's nickname, avatar, or league name, we store the report (the reported player, reason, optional context, and your anonymous ID) so our moderators can review it.
  • Players you block — your block list is stored only in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to our servers and the blocked player is not notified.

What we do NOT collect

  • No passwords (sign-in is handled by Apple or Google).
  • No precise location, IP address tracking, or device fingerprinting.
  • No advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.
  • No contacts, photos, or files from your device beyond an avatar you choose to upload.

Where it lives

Your streak, profile, and last shot are kept in your browser's local storage. Scores and nicknames are stored on our backend so everyone can see the same leaderboard.

Deleting your data

Clear your browser storage to wipe your local profile and anonymous ID. To remove your nickname and scores from the leaderboard, email puckluckflick@gmail.com with your nickname and approximate play dates.

Step-by-step instructions are on our Account Deletion page.
